First glance into Assembly Hall 4

There are special requirements to the floor of Assembly Hall 4. It must be very robust and capable of bearing high load so that the heavy machines and their equipment can be assembled in this hall with an available height of up to 6.50 metres.

For this reason, 175 cubic metres of high-strength concrete in total were poured in the floor of the 700 square metre assembly hall up to a depth of 25 cm. The weight of one cubic metre of this high-strength concrete is 2,500 kg resp. 2.5 tonnes which means 317.5 tonnes of concrete were used. At least 18 concrete mixing vehicles were necessary to deliver this quantity.
