GRUNWALD’s annual donation 2025: EUR 8,000 for two social institutions in Wangen
In 2025, GRUNWALD is continuing its tradition of donating to charity - an initiative that was launched by Edwin Müller several decades ago.
In lieu of Christmas presents, GRUNWALD donated EUR 8.000,00 to two social institutions in Wangen. In doing so, Managing Director Ralf Müller is allowing others to share in the company's success. With our donation of €4,000 to “awamu – zusammen für Uganda e.V.” (awamu – together for Uganda), GRUNWALD provides direct support to the people of Uganda. Since 1999, the Wangen-based aid organisation has been supporting the population in rural areas near the city of Masaka. In practice, they need support for building and maintaining hospital wards, grammar schools with accommodation facilities for teachers and their pupils. They need funds to carry out urgently required repairs and expansions of the rooms. In addition, there is still a high demand for building wells to secure the people in the villages access to drinking water. This year’s donation from GRUNWALD, is once again for the valuable work of “awamu – zusammen für Uganda e.V.” (“awamu – together for Uganda e.V.”) thus enabling them to find solutions for challenges many people can hardly cope with.
But help and support are also needed locally. To support and secure non-profit hospice work in Wangen and the surroundings, the Calendula foundation received a donation in the amount of €4,000. This donation is for the daily outpatient and inpatient operation of the hospice and, moreover, secures and maintains the hospice on Engelberg in the long term.
